Jaysus but what a night!
The only way I could describe the venue is a basement bar with no windows; an assortment of random retro paintings with extravigant frames on a wall which has seen better days: lit by candlelight and filled with knickknacks; from a spiderman mask with bullets hanging off it to quotes from what I think is edgar allen poe (i could be wrong) And it's one of the best places I think I've ever been in, let alone played in! You have to see it to believe it, truely an amazing place.

Load in and setup was quick, as it always is in Belfast, and the headline band, John Edgar Voe soundchecked first. They were a country rock fusion, which sounded great (check them out at www.myspace.com/johnedgarvoe) So I was eager to get going!

David Holmes was doing a DJ set in between bands, playing rockabilly, blues country exclusively. Very apt to the evening that was ahead of us

On the stage there was a screen with 'Once Upon A Time In The West' being projected onto it. With all the gear in front, it looked fucking brilliant.

We went onstage and faced the crowd of people, eager to hear some rock, country, rockabilly etc turned all the way up, and by fuck did we deliver!

Starting out with 'Master Blaster', everyone was dancing about, including us! We moved through the set swiftly, delivering every song without a falter. The two new songs, (Lonely Ranger & Reprisal) went down well; it was the first live performance of them, so naturally we wanted to see if they were 'Cigarette Songs'... They weren't!

John Edgar Voe took to the stage quickly and also played a blinder! They've only been together a short period of time, but all seasoned musicians, they sounded like they've been together for years! So they've won another fan as far as I'm concerned.

Cathy Ann Keaveney (My sister, obviously) was there, camera in hand to capture some of the night; so this would be a good time to show some of them.

So once again, thanks for reading; and enjoy!
